Durant le Tour des Arts, soit du 15 au 20 juillet 2012, les enfants et leur famille n’auront rien à envier aux adultes amateurs d’art et de culture. En effet, la jeunesse ne sera pas en reste et est invitée à participer à l’effervescence bien reconnue du milieu artistique de Sutton en assistant à 6 ateliers offerts dans le cadre du Petit Tour 2012.
Cette programmation 2012 du Petit Tour est composée d’artistes locaux qui partageront leur talent en offrant des ateliers vivants, colorés et variés qui stimuleront la créativité et l’imagination. La semaine sera bien remplie en débutant le dimanche avec un rallye photo tout en découverte et en aventure à travers le village de Sutton, animé par Shannon Brown, directrice du camp des arts de Knowlton. Suivront deux ateliers, le lundi et le mardi, donnés par l’illustratrice d’Abercorn Marie Bilodeau qui guidera les jeunes à travers la création d’imagerie de lieux imaginaires et de personnages. Le mercredi, nous aurons l’honneur d’accueillir Roseanne Petrarca qui nous présentera avec la passion qu’on lui connait son univers de contes vagabonds et d’histoires à trous. Un théâtre de marionnettes sera monté sur la scène le jeudi pour y mettre en vedette les créations des enfants qui fabriqueront avec Hiro Gagnon une marionnette à tige et élaboreront un sketch à y présenter. La semaine se terminera en beauté avec un atelier d’impro donné par la pétillante Mary Harvey qui saura éveiller la spontanéité et le goût du théâtre chez les enfants
Les ateliers sont ouverts au public et seront tous présentés de 10h à midi à Salle AG Pelletier, 4-C Maple à Sutton pour un coût minime de 5$ par atelier par participant. Arts and culture activities for
kids! The PETIT TOUR 2012 launches its summer program!
Sutton, July 2 2012
During the Tour des Arts, from July 15 through 20th
2012, kids and their families will have their very own activities to
explore and make art... We invite young people to dive into Sutton's arts
community and participate in the 6 workshops we've organized for the Petit Tour
2012.
The 2012 program for the Petit Tour is made up of
local artists who will share their talent with us by hosting lively, colourful
and varied workshops designed to stimulate creativity and the
imagination.
It will be an amazing, fun-filled week! On
Sunday we will have a family photo treasure hunt, throughout the village
of Sutton, with Shannon Brown, director of Knowlton's Summer Art Camp
for Kids. On Monday and Tuesday, we'll have 2 workshops with an illustrator
from Abercorn, Marie Bilodeau J. She'll help us create imaginary worlds
and characters to inhabit them! On Wednesday, we'll spend time with Rosanne
Petrarca, who will share with us her contes vagabonds et histoires à
trous...(Activity in French). On Thursday, we'll explore puppetry - along with
artist Hiro Gagnon, the kids will make a puppet and create a sketch
featuring their characters! And the week will wrap up on Friday with an
improv workshop with the most delightful Mary Harvey, who will encourage
the kids' exploration of theatre...
The workshops are open to the public, and are all between
10:00 and noon at the Salle AG Pelletier, 4-C Maple, in Sutton. Participation
